Maria Teresa Treccozzi (Italy) graduated in piano, in composition and in electronic music.

She studied composition with Gabriele Manca and Ivan Fedele. She attended the Erasmus program at the Musikhochschule of Karlsruhe with Wolfgang Rihm and a “Kontaktstudium” in Saarbrücken with  Arnulf Hermmann.

She took part in several masteclasses with Billone, Cendo, Czernowin, Dufourt, Filidei, Gervasoni, Lanza, Risset, Ronchetti, Solbiati, Stroppa.

Her works have been performed at: Festival Impuls (Graz), CGAC (Centro Galego de Arte Contemporánea) Santiago de Compostela, Darmstädter Ferienkurse, Museo del Novecento, piazza Duomo Milano, Cambridge Festival of Change, Harvard University (Graduate Music Conference), Bilbao, Fundación BBVA, Torri dell ́Acqua di Budrio,  Luxembourg Abbey Neimënster, Festival Mouvements – Saarländischer Rundfunk (Saarbrücken). She has received commissions for “Premio Siae 2016” (New made Ensemble), Sommer Musik Saarbrücken, Nuova Consonanza, Orchestra “Tito Schipa” di Lecce.

Maria Teresa collaborated with: Deutsche Radio Philarmonie Saarbrücken Kaiserslautern, Orchestra Sinfonica “G.Verdi” of Milan, Orchestra “Tito Schipa” of Lecce, Ensemble del Novecento, Vertixe Sonora and Ensemble Lucilin.

She has obtained several prizes, among others: XXI Colloquium on Music Informatics (Cagliari), Künstler-Förderstipendien Saarbrücken 2016, Premio SIAE under 35, 9. Saarbrücker Komponistenwerkstatt, eviMus Festival (1. Saarbrücker Tage für elektroakustische Musik), Niccolò Castiglioni Prize in Milano, an honorable mention at the Competition “Milano digitale IV” for her educational projects “Piccoli in orchestra that promotes the use of new technologies, Competition “Milano’s Modern Art Gallery”.
Since 2006 she has been teaching musical education in several schools in Milano, Como and Torino and Germany.

She currently lives in Germany.
